The 24-hour Arabic news channel to broadcast humanitarian case studies along with health and entertainment segments to mark the Holy Month of Ramadan

Abu Dhabi, UAE: 30 June 2013 –“Ramadan Al Kheir”, Sky News Arabia’s highly successful series focused on humanitarian cases from around the Arab world, will return to the 24-hour news channel’s line-up during the Holy Month of Ramadan this year. “Ramadan Al Kheir” will feature as part of a dedicated three-hour Ramadan news show that will air six days a week, Sunday to Friday, from 1am to 4am UAE time (8pm to midnight GMT).

Focusing on charity as one of the central pillars of Ramadan, “Ramadan Al Kheir” will once again put the spotlight on the human side of the challenges facing the Arab world today. The reports will focus on the lives of those in need with a new case presented each day. The “Ramadan Al Kheir” broadcasts will be complimented by a dedicated website,, which will feature additional information about each case including details about how viewers can contact and provide support to the individual cases should they wish to do so.

In addition to “Ramadan Al Kheir”, Sky News Arabia’s nightly programme will include a segment to educate audiences about ways of keeping healthy during Ramadan. Hosted by presenter Salam Al Feel, the segment will feature nutritionists and health experts who will provide tips and advice on eating right, exercising and staying healthy during the month.

As part of its entertainment segment hosted by Lana Al Joundey, Sky News Arabia will provide viewers with behind the scenes looks at some of the highly popular Arabic series that air throughout the month of Ramadan.
