Established in the Middle East region since the 1980s, this client is a well-known, international distributor of fragrances and cosmetics, managing more than 40 instantly recognisable brands. They cover markets throughout the region including Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Located in Dubai, the office is a busy environment where both English and French are the spoken languages and all functions are present including Merchandising, Marketing, Branding, HR, Finance and the Senior Management team including the owner of the company. They also have a large distribution warehouse in Dubai where all goods are received and stored.
The role of Regional Brand Manager is within the fragrances division and you will be reporting to the Divisional Director. Although based at the Dubai office, it is expected that 30% of the role will include travelling across the Middle East region. You will be responsible for supporting, launching, developing and expanding the brand portfolio in order to maximize sales and sustain growth and profitability.
The ideal candidate will be Arabic or French speaking and have an entrepreneurial flair in order to develop new brands into the business and source new opportunities. Experience of budgets and price structure strategies within luxury brands (preferably within the perfume industry) and conception and implementation of promotional activities, advertising and media is also extremely desirable.
This is a busy role, where you will be required to work autonomously, reporting regular updates to the Managing Director and providing business cases as to why a particular brand should be selected and considered as part of the portfolio.
In order to apply for this vacancy, you will possess 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within the luxury brands sector in the GCC market. You should have full market and competitor awareness and have an analytical and strategic approach. Strong skills in Excel, V look ups, Word and Power Point are also essential.
