On behalf of a global multinational client that services the Refining and Petrochemicals, Upstream Oil and Gas industries to name just a few. We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Director to be based in their office in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
You will be responsible for the sales, marketing and proposals’ team to drive sales and marketing accountabilities for the entire region.
Responsible for leading a multi-functional team of Sales Managers, Senior Client Sales Executives, Subject Matter Experts, Client Support Managers, Inside Sales, Proposals and/or other key personnel and subordinate managers to profitably grow the business in the assigned region. Selects Key and Managed Accounts and manages the success of the assigned team through focus on Customer Satisfaction.
Responsible for overall order volume and quality as well as the management of an operating budget. Participates in regular forecasting calls and liase with the commercial and operations teams for process and project handover.
Establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations(s) and may also have company-wide effect.
Coordinates with the Pursuit teams to target growth in new customers served directly or through channels/alliance partners. Communicates the Strategy to the team, positioning the role of the Regional team within the overall Sales Organization and leading the team to ensure attainment of their business goals, both margin improvement and order growth. Sets clear metrics and manages the company approved incentive program.
Provides Senior Sales expertise to assist Senior Client Sales Executives and Client Sales Executives on large project pursuits within the installed base. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Erroneous decisions will result in critical delay(s) in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activities.
Lead marketing resource to develop programs and strategies to drive demand, visibility and effective positioning in the ME region
Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
Skills
Candidate must have B.S. Degree, M.S. preferred 12+ years of professional sales experience and 5+ years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organisation, and people motivation skills. Demonstrated strong experience in leading sales and/or project delivery teams and in operating in a high performance sales environment.
Demonstrates strong customer facing skills and a deep understanding of the Sales and Account Management Process and principles including the ability to select, manage and review accounts; performance management using the internal Personal Success Planning program; and the internal Sales Funnel.
Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Establish budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Manage activities of two or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.Demonstrate deep insight into the customer’s business issues and drivers. Exhibits the skills necessary to manage an operating business region for profitable growth. Able to guide sales opportunities and set sales unit strategy.Understand the high level impact of solutions on the client’s financial and operational performance and metrics. Strong understanding of Company commercial criteria and processes. Highly competent in maximizing competitive advantage. Highly discerning and capable in capitalizing on the political forces within the customer at a regional and national operational level
