Dedicated ‘Smart TV Lounge’ set to provide customers with personalized insight and user advice on the functionalities of Smart TVs

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – July 22, 2012: Samsung Electronics, a market leader in consumer electronics, launched the ‘Smart TV Lounge’ at the Samsung Showroom in Dubai Mall. The Smart TV Lounge is set to cater to potential and existing Samsung Smart TV users to educate them on the functionalities of the Smart TVs. With specialized trainers on hand, users can inquire about any Smart TV function or feature allowing them to maximize their immersive Smart TV experience.

At the Smart TV Lounge, customers will be greeted by highly trained Smart TV specialists who will provide tips, answer questions, coordinate and book service requirements. Customers can also ask for assistance on how to connect their Smart TV’s on wireless and LAN connections; how to download apps to their Smart TV; and how to update their software.

The lounge also caters to potential consumers who are looking to buy a Smart TV and who would like to get a hands-on experience of using the TV before buying it.”

Earlier this year, Samsung launched the latest Smart TV range which offer cutting-edge technologies that deliver the best viewing experience in 2D and 3D; a built-in Flash Player 10.2; a slim 5mm bezel and Micro Dimming Ultimate.

The new TVs encompass Samsung’s three guiding philosophies that equip consumers with the future of Smart TV technology:

Smart Interaction- an intuitive platform based on Motion Control, Voice Control, and Face Recognition commands for the TV. Recognizing 26 languages including Arabic, users can turn the TV on or off, activate selected apps or search for content in the web browser simply by speaking and with a wave of hand consumers can turn the volume and channel up or down browse and choose a link or content via the web browser.

Smart Content- an expansion of more robust and personalized content through Smart TV apps, as well as AllShare Play. Additional exclusive services include Family Story, Fitness and Kids.

Smart Evolution- defined by Samsung’s new Evolution Kit. Each year, Smart TV buyers will no longer have to worry about purchasing the latest TV as the Smart TV range will be upgradable every year through the Smart Evolution Kit.
