Senior Manager, Measurement Science (Statistician) | The Nielsen Company Casablanca, Morocco

-Responsible for prompt delivery of statistical counseling and support for internal and external clients in accordance with global statistical and technical standards.
-Provide and validate universe updates at intervals consistent with Nielsen guidelines and standards
-Ensure sample design is appropriate according to global and regional standards
-Liaise with data collection management to ensure that actual useable sample per period is in compliance with Nielsen standards
-Monitor the Quality Control algorithms to ensure stores with a-typical controls or contribution are identified and corrected
-Ensure Quality Control algorithms for identifying and correcting raw and projected data are operating within Nielsen guidelines
-Conduct regular coverage studies of client data to ensure information trends are accurate
-Participate in ad hoc statistical projects including design and analysis of customized studies
-Provide insights and recommendations on statistical matters and procedures to clients, management and associates
-Conduct data validation studies upon request and provide written feedback within pre agreed timeframe
-Conduct training in the statistical procedure and applications as well as other measurement science related functions and services for clients and associates
-Maintain an accurate and up-to-date knowledge on research techniques and applications
-Provide value-added analyses and respond to special requests
-Ensure standard operating procedures within area of responsibility are observed
-Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility
-Set objectives and monitor performance for the team
-Ensure recognition of effective work performance and utilize effective disciplinary actions when appropriate
-Address professional development goals and needs of direct reports
-Ensure proper dissemination of information and implementation of company rules and regulations as well as policies and procedures
-Contribute to driving world class employee satisfaction through the implementation of relevant organizational initiatives that build on employee commitment.

Skills
University degree in Statistics or Operations Research
4 to 7 years experience in FMCG / Service / Retail industry
Working knowledge of statistics and multivariate analysis
Working knowledge of research techniques and methodologies
Project management experience
Effective writing skills
