Senior Sales & Marketing Engineer | SIEMENS Doha, Qatar

Goals/Mission:
- He/She takes full responsibility for business acquisition with the covered account(s)&the development of business with this account. This includes strategic&operation tasks along the acquisition process (from market screening to negotiations with the customer). The incumbent is the main contact person for the customer&serves as the link into the Siemens Transmission&Distribution organization. This way he/she secures customer satisfaction, builds up&maintains strong relations to decision makers.The Sales&Marketing Engineer seeks new business opportunities&communicates them into the Siemens Transmission&Distribution organization.He/she takes the lead in coordinating the communication on all levels between the customer&Siemens, &steers the offer process, actively promoting Siemens solutions for the customer.
- He/She is responsible of realizing the order income&profitability targets for the accounts regarding the product porfolio of the business units High Voltage, Medium Voltage and Energy Automation.These targets are agreed with Transmission&Distribution and Business Unit management at the beginning of each fiscal year.

Tasks
- Assure satisfactory response times on requests towards the customer.
- Drive vendor, subcontractor&equipment pre-qualification.
- Actively promote own Siemens solutions in the offer phase (supported by tendering and engineering staff) towards the customer.
- Set price in line with Management&coordinate offering /tendering team.
- Prepare negotiation strategy&actual negotiations&lead negotiations supported by the management.
- Support project Management (if necessary)during project execution by eg. Providing information, contacts.
- Maintain and improve relations to the customer and build strong network within the customer’s organization.
- Coordinate all interfaces to the customer.
- Achieve competetive advantage by knowing customer plans, needs, etc.earlier than competitors by utilizing network and contacts.

Knowledge/Languages
- Understand and Lead Sales and Marketing Management processes.
- Understand and support Project and Quality Management processes.
- Sales and Key Account Management approach.
- Sector/customer-relevant knowledge.
- Knowledge and understanding of Qatar or other Arabian energy markets.
- Very good English and Arabic is required (written and spoken).

Experience
- Minimum 7 Years of experience in the field of Sales and Marketing for Energy Business.

- External: Customer (Utility, other Contractors and Developers), Consultants, Suppliers, Sponsors.

Education
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
