• Responsible for ensuring that sets and relevant props are in the right place at the right time, working under supervision of the Set Manager service the requirements of TWOFOUR54’s clients.
• Loading and unloading equipment and scenery.
• Helping Carpenters to construct, repair and erect scenery.
• Moving scenery, furniture and heavy equipment during performances as necessary
• Acting as a vital link, assisting TWOFOUR54’s clients and to be involved in relevant stages of the production process to ensure the Studio Set runs smoothly.
• Any other reasonable duties required by the management.
Skills
• Experience in professional, medium to large studio production or commercial theatre.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to translate client’s requirements into practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively and reliable as part of the team.
• Enthusiasm, motivation and a proactive manner
• Ability to remain calm and level-headed under pressure
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, common sense and problem-solving skills as unexpected issues may arise regularly.
Seniority Required
At least 2 years in a TV/ Theatrical production environment as a Stagehand.
Professional Background Required
• Relevant vocational qualifications.
• Experience of working in a commercial multi-client environment is preferable.
• Experience of working in a studio/theatrical environment.
• Must be physically fit to carry scenery and props.
• Must be able to work at heights.
