As an Ads Sales Manager, you will manage a group of Account Executives and Account Managers that support multiple revenue streams. Your team will work closely with multiple Operations teams to prospect new leads, pitch the TV channel and other media formats to clients, and manage/optimize campaigns to increase effectiveness. Achieving your targets will be job number one.
You be directly active in sales plus you will guide your team and continually seek to coach/mentor them to hone outstanding sales and client-service skills, and help them build and oversee their career development plans. You will also develop relationships with strategically important clients and assist with closing new business, all under a tight target plan. Finally, you will provide insight, leadership and direction to the team, and contribute to developing and executing on a strategy to grow the business.
Among your many attributes, you are a self-starter who is comfortable working in a start-up environment that changes rapidly, and you have a strong desire to learn. You work well cross-functionally with Product and Marketing, and you are proactive, innovative, and detail-oriented.
Manage a team of high-performing sales and service representatives, utilizing a consultative sales approach to grow revenue.
Track the team’s performance metrics and develop strategies to increase efficiency of the business, balancing workload across pods accordingly.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, and help generate new leads by collaborating with Operations management.
Work with the team to find new ways to position the products and increase the value proposition to potential customer segments.
Skills
BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record. MBA a plus.
At least 2 years of experience managing people preferred.
At least 4 years of experience in advertising sales, and a proven ability to demonstrate creative problem-solving when working with customers.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and excellent presentation and communication skills.
