We are looking for a social, active and energetic person who is very well aware of Arab popular culture
Some of the major tasks:
* Web Editing
- Be familiar with how to work with content management systems to publish or update online content
- Take limited responsibility of the website
- Set the tone of a website
- Generate ideas for content
- Manage blogs, forums, wikis and other forms of user-generated content
- Be familiar with major Arabic websites and their content
- Understand issues surrounding user experience, accessibility and information architecture
- Edit content to desired length
- Check articles and videos for tone and style
· TV Presenter
- Researching topics and background information
- Planning and rehearsing shows
- Writing, and sometimes memorizing, scripts
- Liaising with other members of the production and technical team/s.
- Keeping the program running to schedule – responding positively and quickly to problems or changes, and improvising where necessary
* Translator (Farsi and Arabic)
- Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained
- Using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used
- Using appropriate software for slick presentation and delivery
- Proofreading and editing final translated versions
- Supplying subtitles for foreign films and television programs
Required Skills
- Full knowledge of translational skills to translate Farsi to Arabic and vise versa
- An extensive knowledge of young Arab culture and their online habits
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Pro-active in terms of the creativity and coming up with ideas for the website
- To be able to come up with ideas for online competitions
- To be able to distinguish the opinion leaders in young Arab societies
- Be very motivated and enthusiastic
- An outgoing and confident personality
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Calmness under pressure and the ability to work to strict deadlines
- A good memory, for recalling facts, figures and scripts
- The ability to work well as part of a team
Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in marketing or advertising that deal with young Arab culture. This includes, market research firms, newspapers, websites and etc.
Education
- Minimum bachelors degree in one of the following:
o Business Administration or Marketing
o Advertising, Journalism or Public Relations
o Social Sciences
o Required courses in translation
