UPP, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC) and Al Sidra Media, the publisher of the English daily tabloid 7Days, announced today an extension to their printing contract. Ali Saif Al Neami, Chief Executive Officer of UPP, and Mark Rix, CEO of 7Days, have jointly signed a multimillion dollar contract for another year.
“We have worked together for the past year and we’ve tried our hardest to get the job done efficiently, on time, and at the highest standards of quality. We know, and can anticipate, the publishing needs of our partners at 7Days better than anyone,” commented Al Neami. “We are confident that 7Days can continue to rely on UPP, as we keep on expanding our production capacity and ramping up our services to cater to our partners’ diverse needs,” he concluded.
Earlier this year UPP made a significant investment in its production capacity, with the acquisition of new printing presses worth Dhs100m, and recently started production in its new state-of-the art facilities in Shahama. The company’s continuous efforts to stay at the forefront of the printing market have proven rewarding. UPP has been driving up the demand for its printing services across the Emirates and the region, and announced a string of contract wins on the sidelines of the recently held Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.
Mark Rix, CEO of 7Days said, “We found in UPP a partner who provides not only a complete offering but added-value. UPP’s mix of quality, innovation, service and options is simply unmatched in the printing industry in the Emirates.”
“Moreover, UPP has shown exceptional insight and knowledge of our challenging environment and proven the ability to assess and manage our printing requirements in an optimized manner, which reduces costs and impacts positively on the production of 7Days. By extending our printing contract with UPP, we are cementing a partnership we’re very pleased with,” added Rix.
