10,000 people participated in the International Kite Festival at Dubai Outlet Mall.
A family fun day from 9am to 5pm on Friday 13 Jan 2012 with loads of activities for kids and general crowd at Dubai Outlet Mall got even more exciting when the international Kite teams started their performance flying colorful theme based kites dotting Dubai sky with vivid and bright creations. The highlight of this event was flying the Asia’s biggest kite named Khathakali, recorded in the Limca book of records.
Exhibiting their colorful and unique kites, Gomberg Kites Production from USA, Team Mangalore from India and Buhamad Kite Team from Kuwait flew their massive kites showing off their skills while general crowd was also participating in the kite flying with their own kites.
Starting from 9am the Kite making workshop was attracting lots of crowd followed by a stage performance by Children from the Dubai Centre for Special Needs.
The crowd was entertained by Dubai Drums while the Camel, Horse riding and Dune Buggies was the fun activity attracted families.
Kite fight was one of the attractions of the day where everyone flying their kites participates in a kite fight competition and the last kite standing alone win exciting prizes. Kite experts were giving tips and tricks to the participants how to fly a kite and also teach kids to make and fly their very own kites.
The day was filled with family festive fun, Music by famous DJ & performance by Children from Dubai Centre for Special Needs, Dubai Drumming, kids’ entertainment & playing area, international food stalls and much more.
