The enormous wealth created by exploitation of abundant natural hydrocarbons occuring in (most) Arab countries, spread over relatively few peoples, cannot fail to make it's mark on the aspirations of those fortunate few to be sharing it now. However, one wonders what the current generation will say to their grandchildren when asked "What happened to the country's God-given riches - what happened to our birthright?". Hydrocarbons as with all mineral reserves are finite - one hopes the current investment in education, infrastructure, industry, agriculture etc is wisely spent and sustainable for the benefit of all citizens, including future generations. The survey is interesting only in it’s predictability.
