He is the best, of all time! He won the Roland Garros this year, which he was trying for the past 4 years. He is back with the best tennis in him, after winning the record 14 Slams on all 4 surfaces. Do you still think something is missing in Roger??? When you play a game, you win and you also lose at times, but great players dont lose it easily. Roger reached his 20th semifinal in a row in this French Open, which is not a joke. He has been performing really well in the major events for the past many years now, which is a sign of a champion. He lost 5 finals to Nadal, but this doesnt mean he is not the best!! Unlike Nadal, who lost to a 23rd seed Soderling in the fourth round, which never happened with Federer ever in the past. Federer, known as a Grass Court King, lost to Nadal in the final last year, whereas, Nadal, known as the King of Clay lost in just the fourth round. This is the difference between a good player and a great player!! Go Federer Go!! What do you people say now?? He won the Roland Garros this year, which he was trying for the past 4 years. He is just not finished. He is great player, and there are always some bad patches in life, and Federer is just going through it. 2008 is the worst year of his career, but I believe he is still too young, and we will see the same old Federer back very very soon. It was great to see him carrying the Swiss flag in the opening of the Olympics yesterday. We wish you all the best! Anyway I wish him all the best, and I hope that he wins the Olympics, and the US Open, and all the coming tournaments. Happy Birthday Roger, and Good Luck! We all know that 2008 is not a good year for Federer yet, but still we have 2 major tournaments left. The first is the Olympics and then the US Open. I Hope he does well and wins both of them. Secondly, we know he is not winning tournaments, but let me remind you that he reached the semis in the Australian Open, and also reached the finals in both the other 2 (Roland Garros and Wimbledon) grand slams this year. To reach the finals is not an easy job guys! It was just not his day I guess. You cannot expect some one to win all the matches he play. It is tough at times, and that is also againest the other best player in the world. I hate Nadal too for some reason, but he is a very quick on the field. We know he could not do well in the Roland Garros final, which he lost 3 sets to 0, but he came back very well in the Wimbledon from 2 sets to love down, which was he greatest and the longest final in the history of the Wimbledon. We can only say that is he not performing well, if he was knocked out of the grand slam in the first or second round, but he reached the finals 2 times. We all should wish him all the best in the future. I hope and also pray that he wins the Olmpics Gold Medal, as well as the US Open, to make him and his fans happy, and ends 2008 in a great style. Also, its his birthday today, so wish him luck. I hope he remains the best ever tennis player till the time he plays. God bless you Roger. People, take it easy. But anyway I hope Federer will shine again, I hope. I am thinking that loss put brakes on his flow and really messed things up for him. The way he talks in interview about Wimbledon still says that he has a lot on his mind about that match, what could be, what was better, what was not etc. Nadal has played great tennis this year; his results show that, but when Federer plays, he just gels (if you can get the idea); i just feel that if he gets back his groove, leave Pete's record, he will have 4 grand slams in an year. If he could just get Nadal on clay (Roland Garros), which is possible IMHO. You've made an interesting point that Federer might be going in the wrong direction because he's practicing for Roland Garros, I don't agree. This is because (and I might be wrong about this), but Clay courts in fact require more foot work than grass or any hard courts because of variable points, off course there are things that you have to adjust but so is true for other surfaces, like for example Hard courts are waaay much faster than grass or any surface for that matter, and they are hard on the body to play too. Although I do believe that Federer needs just a couple of matches or a slam win to get his confidence back, and I am thinking he can only get it back by beating Nadal convincingly at either Wimbledon or French Open. This has got more to do with that jinx that Federer has gotten lately ... like ok so Nadal is the ONLY guy who can beat me or give me a hard time. Once you get that inside you, you are beaten right there. As they if you blv so, it'll happen. I am a Federer fan and i never could just like Pete Personally. He was a great Champion but still Federer is Federer; I just think that if he focuses he can achieve waaay much than he currently has. Thats natural talent for you right there.
