Web & Graphic Designer | Beirut, Lebanon
**This position will work out of the HRsmart ME office in Beirut, Lebanon. Only local applicants, please.**
Basic Function/Job Overview:
The Web and Graphics Designer must be creative, imaginative, energetic and up-to-date with the latest print and web design tools. In order to expressively create effective designs for HRsmart, this position brings vision and ideas to both print and online projects. The Web and Graphics Designer must work independently, be self directed and able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines. This position requires the ability to multi-task and tolerate changes in priorities.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
* Design and implementation of new web pages for current sites, in addition to creating web demos and presentations using Flash and Camtasia
* Design and layout of web and print graphics supporting HRsmart’s global marketing efforts and campaigns
* Implement and maintain Search Engine Optimization design principles to various HRsmart sites
* Design and develop imaginative print materials and update web content accordingly
* Other web and print graphics deliverables as needed
Required Knowledge and Skills:
–Strong graphic design layout, web design and typography skills
–Thorough knowledge of graphic design and website design tools
–Knowledge of page layout and design
–Ability to work independently
–Knowledge of printing terminology, prepress skills and practices
–Excellent language and communication skills
–Strong attention to details
–Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Quark
–Macromedia Flash MX
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
–Familiarity with Joomla, a portal engine and content management system, is preferred
–Familiarity with search engine optimization design principles is preferred
–Experience in the software industry helpful
Experience Required or Educational Equivalent:
–Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Graphics Design or similar field
–Three to five years experience in Web and Graphics Design in a professional business atmosphere.
–Experience includes, but not limited to designing websites, print, eBlasts, flyers, brochures, cards, posters, banners and presentations
–Client references and portfolio of work are required to be considered for this position
Training, Certification and/or Educational Requirements:
–Experience with Adobe CS3 (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and GoLive) and Macintosh and Windows platforms operating systems
