- The operator must produce a reference print (proof print) and control and check the effected parameters and information.
- For the silk screen process the operator creates the effected layout on film and provides these necessary information on a screen via exposure process. He also develops the Print plates for the offset print machine.
- The set up, operation, handling and controlling of exposure and development processes and devices is the responsibility of the pre press operator.
- Firstly, the exposure printing plates must be checked and proofed in case of cosmetics and failures of the operator.
- The main skill of this position is the own responsibility in case of improvements and the understanding of complex technical procedures.

The Role:
- The operator set up own responsible the printing machines based on the production parameters documented in work order, process and work description.
- The preparation of the colours based on customer requirements and specification and/or color fan as well as the quality check with – Densitometer is in the responsibility of the operator.
- The operator have to set up, program, install and check the printing machines based on the parameters and production dates documented in order paper and/or results of PPAP and process evaluation.
- The printing results must be checked with customer master samples and/or boundary samples; he is responsible to provide the 1st production samples to the QA department for the general production release and approval.
- The operator have to control and check the production results based on the necessary facts and requirements of the control plan, which is a volume of the general work orders or process and work description.
- The responsibility is an equal production quality and the ability of implementation of problem solving, corrective actions and improvements during the production process.
- The documentation of process parameters, failures, production black out and set up timings and improvements and machine documentation is in his responsibility.
- The necessary change of production equipment after product change, endurance, tuning and matching of processes, as well as the production of boundary samples in reference of master samples and the consideration of machines, tools, equipment and production/consumable material.
- The operator is responsible for setting up the printing machines based on the production parameters documented in work order, process and work description.
