This role is responsible for:
• Managing the media grid (a calendar based tool) to ensure all Government of Kuwait messages and events are coordinated and strategically timed.
• Tracking and regularly updating important events (within the government, Kuwait and internationally) happening within a 3 month timeframe; drafting related background material to inform press relations and senior government minister briefing needs.
• Serving as the primary contact for any government requests involving major announcements or public events
• Distributing the media grid and associated background materials to appropriate senior government officials to ensure message alignment and coordination

The successful candidate is likely to have the following profile:
• At least 5 years experience managing large, complex marketing or PR campaigns within a private organization, agency or government body. Previous experience as a press officer is preferred.

The Press Officers will craft and coordinate responses to media inquiries. Related responsibilities include serving as initial point of contact for journalists; and pitching news stories. You will serve as the first point of contact for local, national and international media inquiries. Additionally you will help manage public events–generating positive media coverage and ensuring seamless event execution. Each press officer will be responsible for a portfolio of policy topics/sectors (e.g.: parliamentary affairs) and capable of translating policy into press- worthy products including press releases, talking points and official statements.

Leading international PR agency with offices all over the Middle East is looking for an Associate Director or above to run the office.
You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Kuwait office and team, including line management and appraisals. You will work closely and report into the GM of the Qatar office, planning and forecasting and leading client teams. A large emphasis will be on bringing in new business and networking locally to build the brand.
