PR Coordinator | Oryx GTL Doha
Prepare presentations in English and Arabic for Public Relations purposes and for ORYX GTL Management, as required;
Writes articles/press releases in English and Arabic for print media related to PR activities;
Proof reads all documents before releasing to outside parties or for local Company consumption ensuring quality and accuracy of information;
Coordinates with media, advertising and printing organizations to develop brochures and leaflets for the Company; proof reads the documents, gets Head of PR approval on design and content issues; follows up for printing and appropriate distribution;
Maintains contacts and coordinates with QP and other JVs to ensure adequate information about ORYX is released on all relevant forums;
Attends meetings to represent ORYX, as assigned by the Head of PR;
Attends Conferences and Exhibitions; maintains ORYX stall when the organization is exhibiting at any given exhibition; prepares all the materials for the exhibition and distributes as necessary to provide visitors with information about the Company;
Greets visitors to the Company, provides them with general orientation about the Company, and presents them gifts etc. as appropriate;
Edits the Oryx GTL web site and news letter;
Performs other job related duties, as assigned.
Education:
o Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Journalism
Experience:
o Five years relevant working experience
o Must be excellent with basic etiquette on the telephone and when greeting visitors; essential to be very familiar and respectful of local Qatari culture;
o Fluent in Arabic and English; this includes fluency in speaking, reading and writing;
o Must have excellent typing skills;
o Must possess good interpersonal skills;
o Must have good office administration and computer usage skills
