The role of Career Services is to facilitate access to that talent by maximising the number and quality of opportunities available to students and alumni, maximise the capacity of students and alumni to convert these into job offers and to optimise the relationship between students and employers.
The position:
This role is responsible for managing, developing and delivering the career development programme of the Dubai streams of the Executive MBA programme. The role has overall responsibility for communication, relationship building with key stakeholders, development of contents and participation in the definition of the Skills planning (30% of the time) and also coaching and delivery of workshops (70% of the time). The Career Coach will work within the Learning & Development team and will be supported by the Operation team and the rest of the Career Services team.
In this role you will be expected to:
1) Develop strong relationship with EMBA community:
o Work closely with student elected career representatives, attending monthly class rep meetings and ongoing communication
o Contribute to annual marketing and communications plan for EMBA programme
o Work with career representatives and Communications team to manage surveys and communication flow to students
o Work with the Senior Business Development Manager in Dubai and the business development teams in London developing a good understanding of activity in Dubai and in London, and the recruitment market in the Middle East
o Facilitate the connection between Career Services team in London and in Dubai through interaction and strong communication
2) Deliver skills development programme to EMBA (Dubai):
o Provide one-to-one career coaching in person and remotely assisting the EMBA students on all aspects of their job search process
o Review students’ CVs working closely with the Operation team to insure that they are correctly posted
o Deliver workshops and other events, supported by other Career Coaches whenever necessary
o Travel to London in support to programme requirements
3) Support Associate Director, Coaching and Development in the development of:
o Revision of skills programme for all EMBA degree students within existing budgets
o Development of new content for career workshops on specific areas and revision of the existing ones on the basis of feedback and facilitate continuous improvement
4) Develop a strong relationship with the EMBA (Dubai) programme team:
o Work collaboratively with London Career Services colleagues to ensure a consistency of experience (quality and content) to that delivered to EMBA (London) students
o Develop timetable for workshops and coaching in collaboration with the EMBA Programme team to deliver an integrated schedule
