The Opportunity

The College of Communication and Media Sciences at Zayed University in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is seeking a Digital Technology Coordinator on each campus to assist faculty in the College in enhancing learning through technology. The emphasis of all technology instruction should be in enhancing content learning while strengthening technology skills of students, faculty and staff. The ideal candidate for this position will be skilled in both computer technology and digital broadcast technology. He/she will oversee the technology labs and CCMS-specific TV/audio studio areas on the campus on which he/she resides and manage all aspects of the equipment, hardware and software owned and used by the College of Communication and Media Sciences.

The Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining all labs and equipment associated with the College, and providing training on equipment and software as needed for faculty and students. S/he will need to understand media software including Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools and Adobe Creative Suite. The incumbent will also collaborate with faculty in implementing technology into the curriculum, and will be involved in planning and budgeting for new equipment and software purchases. Liaison with other departments, such as the Computing Services Department will be required to ensure quick resolution of technical problems.
