Euromonitor International seeks market researchers in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region to work on temporary, project-led assignments on a contract basis. Work would suit home-based candidates with market research experience who are used to working on a freelance basis.

Skills
Our projectsOur research addresses the following types of question in order to deliver insightful business intelligence to clients:
- How much fruit juice was consumed in the Saudi Arabia in 2009? How does this compare to the previous year?
- Who are the leading companies in the UAE in shampoo? What % share is held by the leading brands?
- Is there a market for this product in Oman? What channels could it be sold through? Which companies will be competitors and how should the product be positioned to ensure its success?
- Why is company X doing better in Kuwait than company Y? What is their success strategy and how is this supported operationally? What could company Y do to improve its performance?
- Market research experience essential
- High level of numeracy
- Experience with statistical data, must be comfortable working with numbers and interpreting data sources
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Fluency in oral and written English essential, Arabic an advantage
- Good communication skills, must be comfortable making phone calls and talking to industry contacts

Required Experience
ProfileThe successful candidate will be independent and able to work from home. S/he must have access to a PC (Windows) and the Internet (Broadband). Time commitments vary according to projects; however, a minimum commitment of around 35 hours a week will be necessary to complete most projects successfully.
Reporting to project managers in our Dubai office, you will be involved in gathering data and contacting companies within the relevant markets.
A strong background in economics, marketing, and/or market research is desirable. The successful candidate will enjoy problem solving, demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude, be able to work independently and be tenacious in their pursuit of information.
