Head of Sports Marketing -Strategy & Acquisition | ADabisc Doha
The Role:
- Research and development of business opportunities across the regional and global rights holder network.
- Identification of organizations requiring strategic marketing advice in order to restructure marketing direction and increase/maximize revenue.
- Strategic formulation of marketing rights management plans across a range of rights holders and properties.
- Brand and market research management specific to clients and market.
- Audit of brand and true marketing value of rights holders demonstrating commercial value of programs.
- Sound knowledge of and ability to benchmark against rights properties globally.
- Management and advisory to rights holders on upcoming bids relevant to commercial elements.
- Best practice rights structuring and creating a Unique Selling Point for all rights holders.
- Presentation and deal closure of potential clients with regards to agency/division services.
- Identification of business opportunities across business divisions and potential to drive business from rights holders into sales and marketing division.
- Management of a growing team of staff responsible for development and implementation of marketing plans.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Marketing and/or Communications is preferred
- Knowledge of the global sports marketing industry with established contacts at Federation and Rights Holder decision makers.
- Established track record and deep understanding of rights holder and sports marketing climate.
- Strong sales background in presenting and selling new concepts.
- Sports marketing and rights management experience essential.
- The energy and ability to work with a start-up organization assuring high standards from the outset.
- Experience and proven ability to overachieve against set Key Performance Indicators.
- Experience in managing a team of staff.
