Royal Jordanian relaunches inflight magazine - Royal Wings
Royal Jordanian, a oneworld member, announced the relaunch of its inflight magazine, Royal Wings, by custom publisher and inflight entertainment leader Spafax.
Royal Wings now combines the editorial values and design ethos of a top travel and lifestyle publication with all the practical information, destination guides and entertainment listings that make an inflight magazine a great marketing tool.
The relaunch issue - for July-August 2008 - ran with a theme of Sport & Leisure, and included features on celebrity fitness and amateur photography, as well as a destination guide to Olympic host city Beijing. Subsequent issues will cover themes such as Food & Drink and Work & Play.
RJ Vice President Marketing, Sales and Services Hussein Dabbas, said: ‘We are excited about the relaunched Royal Wings, as the diversity of topics, along with the modern, clean-cut yet sophisticated design are apt to satisfy our passengers’ tastes and to get them engaged for the duration of their flights.’
Dabbas emphasized the new Royal Wings’ logo and size, which puts it on a par with the other international in-flight and entertainment magazines.
Spafax Editor Tracey Petherick said: ‘We are thrilled with the new-look Royal Wings and delighted with the positive feedback we have received so far. Our new design is modern and sophisticated, while our editorial content is current, varied and engaging, devised to appeal to our wide international readership.’
Royal Jordanian has been issuing Royal Wings for over 30 years. Through it, the airline has promoted Jordan, featuring tourist cities and archeological sites, and familiarizing readers with the traditions and customs and Jordanian heritage.
