- media relations experience (developing and implementing media campaigns)
- understanding of different media markets
- able to build relationships with journalists
- ability to think strategically
- project management skills
- good attention to detail (data collection and reporting)
- problem solver
- some report writing would be good too
- familiar with Word, Excel and Microsoft Project
