Director of Sales & Marketing ‘checks in’ at new Radisson SAS Residence

Brussels-based The Rezidor Hotel Group (Rezidor), which opened its first UAE luxury apartments last month at the Radisson SAS Residence, Dubai Marina, has appointed Omani national Fahad Al-Wahaibi as Director of Sales & Marketing for the new property.

Having started his career with the Radisson SAS Muscat in 1999, Al-Wahaibi worked his way up throughout the ranks managing the property’s flagship F&B outlets, before taking up the role of Senior Sales Manager and finally Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing, where he was responsible for promoting all activities of the hotel regionally and internationally in the corporate, government and leisure sectors.

And in his new role, Al-Wahaibi will be responsible for all ongoing sales, promotional, pricing and marketing activities for the complex, which will be in the heart of Dubai Marina - which is adjacent to the emirate’s two thriving business hubs, Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City.

‘Fahad is an extremely experienced hotelier and brings with him a substantial knowledge cache of the regional hospitality industry and the Radisson brand, which will translate into positive business result for us,’ said Cornelia Erhardt, General Manager, Radisson SAS Residence, Dubai Marina.

Owned by Kuwaiti real estate developer, Abyaar, the Radisson SAS Residence, Dubai Marina boasts 152 luxury apartments including 22 studios and 130 one and two bedroom suites.

It will also offer a host of five star amenities including separate gymnasiums and rooftop swimming pools for men and women, guest parking, children’s play area, 24 hour room service and around the clock security - all managed and operated to the highest standards by Radisson SAS.

The 20 floor residence has been designed by award-winning architects KEO International, which is behind some of the region’s most prestigious hospitality and mixed-use developments including: The Pearl - Qatar, the $2.5bn island being reclaimed offshore Doha and Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace Hotel.

In addition, the interiors of the residence have been conceptualised by Milan’s Matteo Nunziati, who is behind some of the most luxurious hotels in Italy and Switzerland.

Currently Rezidor has 12 hotels under construction or open in the UAE. In addition to the Radisson SAS Residence, Dubai Marina, Rezidor has two city hotels in Dubai already up and running.

These are complemented by a beach resort in the adjoining emirate of Sharjah.
