Head of Content | Arvato Middle East Sales Dubai
OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB
Lead the team in the building of the company’s digital content archive and related distribution licensing.
The position will be backed up by the contacts and experience the Company already has and it’s excellent reputation.
MAIN TASKS
- Take ownership of building and maintaining a relevant leading edge content library as well as all the business related aspects of getting the content to
market, including sourcing, licensing, contact negotiations, tracking royalty payments, etc.
- Negotiate with international as well as regional content labels, studios, producers, developers, etc. for the licensing of such content according to the Company’s new and revolutionary business model designed to fight piracy in these regions
- Defining an “Essential Content Catalogue” in different local territories
- Acquiring licenses for digital distribution
- Establish raw content delivery, supervise digital production
- Take care of source file delivery (including Metadata), supervising the master format production and the sub-format digitalization.
- Content Category Management, Development and Management of Specials and Campaigns, including:
- Creating the optimized content presentation within the digital storefront and it’s features
- Creating seasonal or thematic specials
- Aligning content for advertising campaigns.
- Having, maintaining and growing relationships with content owners, the content producers and business partners.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Experienced with the Licensing of digital content for different territories and business models (e.g. DTO, Subscriptions)
- Proven track record in digital content distribution and licensing distribution platforms
- Experienced with content production methods and processes, digital content management systems and digital content.
- Experienced with creating successful digital portfolios (B2C) in different local markets
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Being familiar especially with non-broadcasting digital content distribution business concepts and models, as well as creating and acquiring digital content and bundling it to commercial successful end consumer offerings
- Experience with Mobile and Internet Content, including
- Music (Fulltrack, Music Video, Ringtones)
- Movies (Blockbusters, TV Series, Mobile Clips)
- Graphics (Mobile Wallpapers, Animations, Themes)
- Games (Mobile Gaming, Internet based Gaming)
- User Generated Content
- Lifestyle Content
- Education Content
- Video on Demand
- Advertising Supported Content Subscription Services
- Timed Out “Comes with music” deals
- Interactive, Messaging and Community features
- Ability to identify the compelling and essential digital content portfolio (including the mixture of license-free and commercial content) in a given territory.Identifying the content owners and rightholders.
- Being familiar with current licensing models and being able to argue new models to always acquire the necessary distribution rights to the best conditions.

Education
