Al Aan TV supports Me and My Family initiative

Me and My Family, an initiative under the direct supervision of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received generous support from Dubai-based satellite channel Al Aan TV, who ran a promotional campaign through the summer months aimed at enhancing awareness of the initiative’s unique edutainment offering.

“As a TV channel that focuses primarily on women, with content that aims at helping Arab women educate and entertain themselves and their families, we were very interested in the opportunity to support an initiative such as Me and My Family,” said Nisreen Sadek, Head of News Department at Al Aan TV.

“The News Department focuses on content that explores humanitarian and social topics and that are of interest to the community. Al Aan TV therefore felt that supporting and extending the reach of a family-related initiative whose objectives mirrored the interests of our target audience made great sense,”

she added.

Al Aan TV ran ad spots for the initiative’s TVC during the summer months of June and July, allowing the message of Me and My Family to reach over 3.72 % of Arab households in Dubai and the other Emirates.

Me and My Family began on June 13th and was concluded on August 7th, and included two unique offerings: the Mobile Inflatable Tent and Neighborhood Fun Parks. The Mobile Inflatable Tent is an air-conditioned tent that can accommodate up to 250 visitors at a time, and is equipped with various fun games and activities to entertain the entire family. The Mobile Inflatable Tent travelled to four different locations in Dubai – Al Aweer, Hatta, Al Hebab and Al Lisaily – being stationed in each location for 15 days.

The Neighborhood Fun Parks include activities such as football, water soccer, paintball and bungee run, and are located in Nad Al Sheba, Al Wasl, Al Safa 2, Al Barsha Pond Park, Umm Suqeim, Al Satwa, Al Twar 3, Al Garhoud, Nad Shamma, Al Qusais Pond Park , Al Mazher (The Walk) and Al Nahda Pond Park.

Me and My Family is organized in cooperation with Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) and Dubai Municipality as strategic partners, and with the support of Dubai Civil Defense Department, Dubai Ambulance Services and Dubai Police.
