World’s 50 Richest Arabs List: Alwaleed bin Talal remains on top

The Arabian Business just released the World’s 50 Richest Arabs list, revealing that they’ve lost $25 Billion due to the finical crisis, well, they still have so much money, so let’s not worry about them. Of course the list doesn’t include Royals and Presidents.

According to the list, the 50 billionaires come from 9 Arab countries: Saudi Arabia reserved the lion’s share with 16 spots, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 8 spots, and Kuwait with 7 billionaires. Both Egypt and Lebanon reserved 5 spots each, following is Palestine with 4 spots, both Iraq and Bahrain 2 each, and finally Jordan with 1 spot.

Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud maintained his leading position with $17 billion. Nasser Al Kharafi from Kuwait jumped two positions and made to the second position with $9.6 billion, Maan Al Sanea from Saudi Arabia also moved two spots up with $9.3 billion.

Saudis are dominating the top 10, Sheikh Mohammed bin Issa Al Jabber from Saudi Arabia jumped 19 spots and came 4th with $8.8, but 19 spots! What the hell did this guy do. His national, Mohammad Al Amoudi ranked 5th with the same net worth. In the 6th position comes Abdulaziz Al Ghurair from UAE with $7.8 billion.

Two Saudi families occupied the 7th and 8th positions, The Bin Laden Family and The Olayan Family with $7.2 billion each. From Bahrain in the 9th position comes The Kanoo Family with $6.1 billion. And from Palestine comes Said Khoury with $6 billion in the 10th position.

I believe most of this is true.Although there should be a list not including presidents, people from royal families etc.
