We are currently looking for an Events Accountant within the Commercial Team, to assist the Events Manager with optimum utilization of the Events Budget. This is a new role with an opportunity for a young, dynamic self-starter to gain experience with a global sports governance body.
Principal Accountabilities
– Event budget preparation, planning and consolidation with Events Manager
– Assist in the submission of event budgets and summaries for F&CA / IDI Board approval and providing key decision support details
– Monitoring of event budget vs. actual monthly reports
– Book-keeping, the process of LPO’s / PRF’s, recording of expenses, event payments, invoicing and confirm recording of all event revenues and expenses including reconciliation of all event travel bookings
– Produce monthly event accounts, receivables and out-standings
– Delivery of the financial results of ICC events
– Preparation & consolidation of event final accounts, MIS reports & variance to budgets
– Work with various suppliers to reconcile all event related service invoices
– Maintain accounts of Value in Kind (VIK) sponsorship benefits received by ICC around events and generally
– Deal with expense recharges to members, sponsors and commercial partners
– Preparation of Event Cash flows for IDI and review of Host cash flows and forecasts
– Review and monitoring of Host expenses
– Manage and assist in Event Audit at IDI and the audit of host expenses at Host country
Skills
– Semi qualified ACA, ACCA or CPA or equivalent
– Experience of ISCALA Accounting Software would be an advantage
– An understanding of the finances of events
Able to analyse financial information
– Excellent at report writing & presentation of data
– Able to work independently
– Able to meet tight deadlines
– Able to prioritise
– Good computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power point) especially Excel
Conditions of employment
– The position is based in Dubai.
– The incumbent must be willing to travel for extended periods if required.
– The selected candidate to furnish two work references including one from his current/latest employer.
– Compensation offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
