Media — By Samer Marzouq on July 27, 2009 at 5:30 pmTo define strategy and roadmaps for individual products leading the Portals Team (part of Content, Portals & Devices Team) and being accountable for delivery. Define, specify, develop, and launch products and manage the product lifecycle of IVR (RBT and Voice) consumer portals.
Responsibilities:
• Full in-life product lifecycle for Portal products within Consumer Portals. These portals are Caller Ring Back Tune Portal as well as Voice Portal.
• Achieving product penetration targets in co-operation with Sales and Customer Care.
• Managing supplier / partner relationships related to product and service delivery (external and internal) – owning relationship with preferred partners, regular review of commercial terms and SLA performance.
• Delivering Operational and Service Performance Targets.
• Delivering customer product satisfaction targets and improvements that are driven by defined customer needs.
• Defining, owning and implementing Product Strategy to optimise long term contribution of CRBT and Voice Portals.
• Working closely with other teams, Content, Devices and Events teams to ensure product delivery and management.
• Supporting marketing with take to market activities including product positioning, channel activity and specialist events
• Full commercial ownership of product and all relevant business processes that support the in-life management of the products
• Being the du expert on products market, monitoring retail pricing and regulatory requirements and sharing best practice and key market learning’s
• Owning and evolving the product development and maintenance roadmap for product set
• Maintain close contact with development teams to ensure high quality and efficient handovers of major service enhancements or new products at the appropriate point in the product lifecycle.
• Create strategies and develop new channels to market with the over all aim to increase revenue from the sale of content.
Key Result Areas:
• Delivery of the P&L and financial targets (Revenue, costs, ROI, opex and capex) for in-life Consumer Portal Products
• Development & ownership of the Portal in-life product strategies to drive penetration and usage of products.
• Influence and input into the development of marketing strategies and plans to ensure delivery of QPB targets
• Working with key stakeholders including Marketing P&Ls, Events teams, Content teams and Product Development and Delivery team to achieve product forecasts
• Responsibility of full in-life product lifecycle for Consumer Portal products including:
• Delivery of SLA, product experience and service performance targets
• All relevant business processes that support the in-life management of the products
• Supporting marketing and content team activities with take to market activities
• Track and analyse competitor activity including: pricing and propositions, market intelligence, comparative user experiences
• Flexibility to support team in management of other Portal products if required
• Continually seek out potential content providers/partners based on the needs of our target segments and demographics
• Propose and develop content-based offers and services among all the portals.
• Propose and implement content update schedules for all content channels, genres, and categories
• Seek out niche content that can be used to differentiate du from its competitors
• Ensure all content updates take place as scheduled, aiming to keep all the portals up-to-date
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years in the consumer portal industry, out of which 2 years should have been in project/product management or technical sales management within a content provider/ telecoms operator/ consumer portal.
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• Engineering degree with / without MBA (will be a plus)
