We are now looking to recruit an experienced Web Specialist to join our Dubai Country Service office. Working as a part of our specialist marketing team; our Web Specialist will play a key role to optimize the impact of communication we have with our consumers and customers through the use of online and digital media.

Key responsibilities include:
• Actively support the IKEA Concept and global communication / media strategy
• Ensure that the IKEA website is used as an important and integral part of the overall media mix in the UAE.
• Working in collaboration with the broader Marketing team (both UAE based and abroad) in the development of the overall internet strategy
• Working with the IT development resources to integrate CRM with other applications within the organization and Play secondary role in enhancing CRM capabilities and CRM reports
• Point of contact for any Customer issues relevant to website and Escalation point of error handling/case management to relevant support units
• Set and agree the IKEA website budget for our country and ensure that we meet the budget.

Requirements

To seriously be considered for this role it is essential you have a minimum of three years experience in the area of web development preferably gained within a consumer retail environment.

As this role requires constant communication with various stakeholders as well as 3rd parties, a strong level of negotiation and command of the English language is required. Your planning and organising skills will be second to none as well as your ability to use your creative eye when it comes to planning and design process.

From a technical perspective we are looking for the following skills:
• Experience of working on website development and the optimisation of online media
• Experience of digital media communication and marketing techniques
• Has worked with Illustrator, In design, HTML, Flash, Paint shop pro and Photoshop previously
• Has worked with Navision previously
• Background in Microsoft CRM
• Has worked with Reporting tools- especially OMNITURE reporting & configuration
