- Ability to initiate news stories, blog entries, pictures and video opportunities in conjunction with the editor.
- To re purpose and enhance content, to get the best from content and ensure optimum use and growth.
- To create polls and surveys and analyse the results as needed.
- To format data as needed and occasionally source, collate and analyse those data
- To write reports from these events and supervise photography as necessary
- To be willing and able to give media interviews.
- Collecting and analysing information about newsworthy events to write news stories for publication or broadcast.
- Receiving assignment or evaluating news leads and news tips to develop story idea.
- Gathering and verifying factual information regarding story through interview, observation, and research.
- Organizing material, determining slant or emphasis, and writing stories according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.

Skills
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Journalism.
- Excellent writing, interviewing and communications skills.
- Computer literate (use of MS Office)
- Maximum 30 years of age.
