The Role:
With more than 17, 000 employees and 1, 700 stores, Alshaya is spearheading the expansion of more than 50 world-class leading retail brands such as Debenhams, Express, Mothercare, Starbucks, Mac, The Body Shop, H&M, Dean & Deluca and Boots in 17 countries across the Middle East, North Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.

Alshaya is delighted to have the opportunity to introduce Williams-Sonoma, Inc. portfolio of brands to the Middle East. William-Sonoma, Inc. is a specialty retailer of high quality products for the home throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The first four stores are expected to open in Dubai and Kuwait in 2010 and will include the Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids brands.

To realise its highly ambitious and aggressive expansion plan, the company is currently looking for a Brand Merchandising Manager with a strong retail experience

A Marketing Executive is responsible for the total marketing function for one’s own specific territory, develop marketing strategies and contribute to overall business planning

Responsibilities:
Set goals for the for the work group and/or develop organisational capability and model how we work together
Provide functional expertise and execute functional responsibilities
Build relationships and ensure transparent communication channels both internally and externally
Assist in developing strategic and operational plans, manage executions and measure results

Skills
Minimum 2 years in marketing field
Must have good communication skills in both English and Arabic
Driving License is a plus
Should have knowledge of Photoshop, Indesign, Quark, Print buying and other marketing tools
Must be creative
