Research Analyst | Delta Partners Dubai, UAE

Position Summary:
To meet Delta Partner’s continued expansion and cutting-edge research requirements, Delta Partner’s Intelligence Unit is expanding its research team to meet global research requirements in our three distinct business lines. The regional TMT Analyst will have the opportunity to collaborate with an international team dedicated to research, intellectual capital development and knowledge management. The position is located in Dubai, UAE.

The role supports the Head of Intelligence Unit in creating value within research, providing quantitative backing and qualitative insights, as well as to improve the efficiency and service delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct primary and secondary research in Telecommunications, Media and Technology sectors
- Perform data and information analysis on market trends in MEA, Eastern Europe, CIS and Emerging Asia
- Leverage internal and external resources to provide timely and accurate information analysis
- Undertake ad hoc projects determined by the Head of Intelligence Unit
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the knowledge repository, routine processes, and daily industry news alerts
- Seek to develop and improve processes within the scope of the Intelligence Unit

Skills:
- University degree or equivalent, and experience in market and/or equity research in the telecoms fields
- 1-3 years experience in an analytical role with excellent writing skills
- Relevant work experience in research is strongly preferred
- Market research or industry-specific knowledge is a strong plus
- Creative and exhaustive in overall research delivery
- Ability to prioritise and make timely communications on research developments
- Committed, flexible and willing to push the research boundaries
- Multiple language skills will be an added advantage (e.g. Russian, Arabic and others)

Candidate has to be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge telecoms markets in general and detailed experience in specific region
- Willingness to explore and drive knowledge initiatives with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to discuss, analyze and generate insights on TMT developments and trends
- Aptitude for business analysis and quantitative analysis
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Pro-actively manage ad-hoc tasks and research initiatives independently
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office software packages
- Some experience with telecom-related databases and information resources
