Our client, a global FMCG multinational, currently seeks a Research Manager to join their expanding regional team.

Based in Dubai, reporting to the research director, you will be responsible for the management of qualitative and quantitative research projects. This is a senior research role where you will be responsible for managing a team of analysts, as well as wider internal and external stakeholders. On a strategic level you will work with the global team to understand what processes, systems and studies should be implemented and identify the right agencies and stakeholders to assist in each programme. On a day to day basis you will assist in the design, implementation and analysis of brand research studies, and provide active support in the dissemination of strategic market, brand and adult smoker knowledge to enable the development of business strategies and plans contributing to the growth of the business. You will be responsible for the management of budgets, and work closely to manage budget allocation for all research projects. You will need to work internally with all regional managers to understand their information needs, and design ad-hoc research work to assist them. At the same time you will also work closely with a specific research agency to brief them on your continuous research needs, as well as specific retail audit data requirements.

As the ideal candidate, you must have as a minimum 6 years of research experience handling FMCG brands, but more likely to be closer to 10 years of experience. Those with pure research agency experience can apply, although those with a combination of both agency and client side experience are preferred. Only those with GCC experience and a heavy quantitative focus will be considered. Pure qualitative researchers should not apply. This position is open to both male and female candidates, and we are ideally targeting someone with an Indian background purely due to the nature of the projects emerging in the GCC and India. Arabic speakers will also be considered. This is an urgent requirement and has come about due to the current incumbent moving into a broadening assignment within the organisation.
