Senior Market Research Analyst | IDC Middle East & Africa Dubai, UAE
IDC, the leading global IT and telecoms market research and advisory firm, is seeking a research professional to support research activities for its expanding IT Services research and consulting business in Middle East and Africa region. The position is located in Dubai, UAE.
Senior Research Analyst will be reporting to Research Manager, IT Services, UAE and will have following responsibilities:
- Conduct primary and secondary market research and data collection for Middle East and Africa region;
- Analyze business and market trends for Middle East and Africa region;
- Work with quantitative market sizing and forecasting analytical tools;
- Prepare thorough and well-organized reports, writing of summaries & conclusions;
- Contribute to consulting engagements;
- Public speaking and periodic public presentations is involved;
- Play a support role in business development by building and maintaining industry relationships and assisting in sales efforts.
Skills
- University degree is required;
- relevant work experience is preferred, and may include market and/or equity research in the IT field; or research, marketing or sales at an IT provider or vendor;
- excellent written and spoken English is a must and Arabic language skills prefered;
- industry-specific knowledge (IT Services industry) is a plus;
- knowledge of the Middle East and Africa region markets.
A candidate has to be able to demonstrate:
- an ability to discuss and analyze technical issues;
- an aptitude for business analysis and quantitative analysis;
- ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- excellent writing and presentation skills;
- good interview skills, and solid phone interview skills;
- proficiency with Excel and other Office software packages.
