Create innovative design concepts for all forms of electronic media with a concentration on developing and maintaining websites for a portfolio of companies whilst ensuring brand compliance. The position requires expertise in a variety of development and design software as design requirements are for both web and print based elements. You will need to have the ability to integrate the two mediums, allowing for development of a seamless marketing plan.

Responsibilities:
•Create design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content, for a variety of brands within the organisation.

•Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements if necessary.

•Create visual concepts that match the content and the image required by the products ensuing that they comply to the brands gobal image; ensure that sites are easy to navigate.

•Build websites using current technologies that conform to international standards.

•Perform maintenance and updates to existing websites when requested.

•Contribute to the overall development of Web Communications within the organisation.

•Ability to interpret the needs and requests of the organization to develop concepts and final products to meet the given requirements.

•Interact with external venders when required to gain best possible outcome for the organization.

•Create and maintain database of suitable imagery for each brand.

•Create innovative online marketing material.

•Ability to be self motivated, meet set deadlines and be proactive in updating requester of status of projects.

•Keeping all pending and outstanding issues in order per company policies for electronic and physical files in case of absence.

•Follow all company procedures, including, but not limited to policies of file security and access to confidential data.

Skills
•University degree in graphic and / or web design or related field and two years plus experience in web design

•Advanced knowledge of Dreamweaver, XHTML, CSS, Lotus Notes and of digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop, QuarkXPress and Illustrator with formal training an asset.

•Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, ASP, PHP, Microsoft SQL and dynamic HTML; experience with Macromedia Flash.

•Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)

•Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and oral); majority of websites are designed multi lingual

•Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure

•Good attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving.

•Ability to work in a team and to communicate in a clear way

•Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centred design, and experience with web database solutions definite assets.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or any related field
