Marketing Specialist | Khalifa University of Science, Technology & Research Abu Dhabi, UAE
The marketing specialist will provide specialized, professional support that involves planning, developing, coordinating and implementing marketing initiatives to promote KUSTAR and its programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assists the direct manager to develop the annual Marketing plan and budget and implements the approved plans.
Assists the direct manager to develop / revise policies and procedures related to Marketing Department and ensures compliance to established policies.
Plans, develops and implements marketing initiatives in assigned areas in order to promote KUSTAR and its programs.
Creates and updates a marketing calendar and executes marketing campaigns as per approved plans.
Researches new promotional opportunities and implements approved promotional plans.
Provides consultation and guidance for printing of catalogs, brochures, flyers, posters and other information and promotional material to ensure adherence to established standards and branding guidelines.
Designs print advertisements and reserves ad space for journals, newspapers, magazines, and other publications.
Sources advertising agencies / other related suppliers, obtains quotations, coordinates with the Contracts Unit for contract preparation and or renewal and with Finance and Accounts for payments.
Manages suppliers, deliveries and activities to ensure events are delivered as per agreed plans.
Plans and conducts relevant market studies to assess effectiveness of marketing efforts and prepares reports and analyzes setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations which will achieve objectives and goals.
Works with the Communication team for web content review to ensure alignment to the University’s brand image.
Works with the Public Relations and Media team to ensure publicity for marketing initiatives.
Maintains marketing databases to store relevant marketing information.
Provides marketing expertise and support when required.
Participate in interviews of department staff.
Performs other similar or related duties as and when assigned by the direct manager.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or related field.
Certificate related to event management will be an asset
Minimum six (6) year’s relevant experience, preferably in higher education.
Proficient in Ms Office applications.
Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to multi task and perform under pressure, excellent communication and interpersonal and customer service skills.
