Etihad Airways announces special Ramadan fares from Kuwait

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates is delivering special fares during the month of Ramadan to selected destinations around the world from Kuwait via Abu Dhabi in its coral economy class, geared to accommodate the needs of both leisure and business travellers.

The Holy Month of Ramadan is a very special time for people living and working in Kuwait, and the demand continues to grow from travellers who are eager to fly to a wide variety of destinations cost effectively, as well as in comfort.

Special offers to selected destinations are also offered in the Pearl business class.

Destinations cover Europe, USA and Africa, such as London, Paris, Geneva, Munich, New York, Johannesburg, Casablanca, and others.

Etihad’s Ramadan fares are valid for sale until September 15, 2008 for travel between September 1 and September 30, 2008.

Etihad to boost Saudi flights during Ramadan

Etihad Airways is to provide an additional 24 flights during the holy month of Ramadan between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah and add special flights to Medina Al Munawara.

The extra services will operate between 1 September and 2 October and build on the 28 return flights Etihad operates every week to its Saudi destinations of Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.

The flight uplift also opens a range of short and long-haul connections for air travellers flying via Etihad’s Abu Dhabi home base.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ chief executive, said: ‘The additional flights from Abu Dhabi to Jeddah will cater for the great demand from Umra travellers during the holy month of Ramadan and will enhance significantly the long-haul travel options to the Muslim communities throughout our network with a short transfer time in Abu Dhabi on many routes.’

Etihad launched its first service from Abu Dhabi to Riyadh in December 2004. It began operating in the same month to Dammam and in May 2006 it started flights to Jeddah.

Etihad’s extra flights to Jeddah and Medina will be operated by two cabin Airbus A330-200.
