Public and Media Relations Manager – UAE National | Focus Direct Abu Dhabi, UAE
The Role
Our client, a prominent Government Authority in Abu Dhabi, have an urgent requirement for a Public and Media Relations Manager – UAE Nationals only to join their team.
The purpose of the role is to manage the Press and Media Relations, ensuring representation in Local and International Media is at the optimum level, raising awareness and increasing the reputation as an excellent Service Provider.
Managing the Corporate Communications Department
Creating and Implementing the Corporate Communications and PR Strategy
Obtaining PR Briefs and information from internal departments for information to be communicated to the press
Ensuring accuracy of information communicated
Maintaining an extensive database of Press and Media contacts, Local and International
Responsible for Promotional PR of new services and initiatives
Crisis Management strategy and implementation
Measuring the success of PR Campaigns.
Managing relationships with Advertising and PR Agencies
Responsible for handling Media enquiries and reviewing Media reports
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in PR and Communications
Minimum of 5 years experience in a Senior Corporate Communications role
Experience within a Government or Semi-Government organisation an advantage
Must be enthusiastic and results driven
Critical thinking and problem solving ability a must
Managing deadlines and works well under pressure
Excellent English and Arabic verbal and written communication skills
UAE Nationals only
