The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City in collaboration with OBAD announces first line of official Abu Dhabi beaches merchandise

The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City in collaboration with The Office of the Brand of Abu Dhabi (OBAD), today announced the first official Abu Dhabi Beaches merchandise is now available at two Corniche Beach Kiosks located on the recently opened Corniche Beach Walk in Abu Dhabi.

“The sea is an important part of our heritage, our present and our future. It has been integral to the way of life in the Gulf region, providing sustenance and wealth for centuries through fishing and pearl diving. Today the sea also supports our major sporting events, recreational activities and way of life so it is fitting that this range of beach merchandise is the first to be made available.” said H.E. Reem Al Shemari, General Manager of OBAD.

“Brand Abu Dhabi defines how we should project ourselves to the outside world and how we should interact as an Emirate as a tourism, cultural and investment destination. Our role at OBAD is to ensure our Abu Dhabi brand identity is protected so we have made every effort to ensure that anything that bears the brand reflects our values, standards and stems from our core brand essence. Hence, a range of products have been created to celebrate Abu Dhabi’s beaches and showcases the rich experience which Abu Dhabi offers to both visitors and residents,”

added H.E Al Shemari.

“The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City is developing the Abu Dhabi Corniche to suit the needs of all visitors to the beach. We want a friendly family environment combined with the preservation of the beaches’ natural beauty,” said Rashid bin Omaira, Advisor to the Director General of Investments and Assets at the Abu Dhabi Municipality. “We are creating a vibrant and inviting environment in line with Abu Dhabi’s vision 2030,” he added.

The two eye-catching shops, located near the entrance of the Family Beach (Gate 2) at 26th street and near the entrance to the Al Sahil Beach (Gate 6) at 32nd street on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, are the first two sites in Abu Dhabi where the official merchandise can be purchased. Residents and tourists visiting the UAE’s capital can now access a broad range of Abu Dhabi Beaches branded merchandise and memorabilia which pays tribute to the unique heritage of the Emirate and its beaches.

The inaugural Abu Dhabi Beaches merchandise line, designed by OBAD, caters to everything that is needed for a great day at the beach including tote bags, cooler bags, swimwear, t-shirts, and beach balls as well as popular souvenir items such as key chains, fridge magnets and polo shirts.

The Beach Kiosks, open daily from 10am to 10pm, are operated by Farah Leisure Parks Management L.L.C, and were created to provide both Abu Dhabi residents and visitors with the unique opportunity to take home official Abu Dhabi Beaches themed souvenirs for the very first time. In addition, the kiosks offer Robin-Ruth branded Abu Dhabi souvenir bags and caps—the first of their kind in Abu Dhabi.
