The survey probed general cellular usage habits, smartphones awareness in addition to tablets availability among cellular users in Kuwait. The Kuwait smartphone survey follows the three smartphone survey reports concluded in Jordan, UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The survey revealed that 51.3% of the total cellular handsets used by the respondents are smartphones. More than half (58.5%) of smartphone users who use applications prefer the English language for their applications.
A new major cellular phone survey of cellular users in Kuwait was conducted by the Arab Advisors Group in February 2012. The survey results encompass answers from 750 cellular users that passed rigorous quality control checks. Quality control was conducted by Arab Advisors Group’s team. The survey yields a confidence level of 99% with a margin of error of less than 5%.
“The survey revealed that 82.2% of the respondents who download applications download social networking applications, followed by games applications (60.7%) and then news applications (41.1%).” Ms. Noura Abdulhadi, Arab Advisors Project Manager, commented.
