The War of the Cyber Worlds… Google launches the new web browser, Chrome
Finally Google decided to take action and respond to the war that has been declared by the empire of evil, Microsoft, which is trying so hard to end Google’s domination over the search engines business, they tried to acquire Yahoo more than once, they placed a lot of pressure on Yahoo’s CEO and board of directors, and accused them for being inefficient, they tried to convince shareholders to sell their shares, and eventually after hitting many walls, Microsoft decided to create a whole new army of search engines to compete with Google.
Microsoft announced its 8th edition of the Internet Explorer, which will include two new features; InPrivateBrowsing that will allow users to browse the internet without leaving any trace, no history, no temporary files and cookies, and the second one is InPrivateBlocking, which allows users to block content from a third party, like ads for instant. Seems like this action has sent a warning sign to Google, which runs a giant advertising network that can affected bu such features.
I don’t know what’s the big deal about these features!
So Google decided to respond, and announced the launch of a new web browser, titled Chrome, the beta version should be available today in 100 countries for Windows only, the company promised to launch versions for Mac & Linux.

Ads are a huge deal to google.
Their main income comes from people visiting sites with ads by google. Such as yours.

As for “what’s the big deal about the features of IE8″, well apart from the fact that it’s -finally- compliant with W3C standards, it has the ability to block adsense… but that’s not the end of it
In fact, Firefox users enjoyed this for years now. It’s no biggie for google, which didn’t like it but it didn’t matter, since the majority are still in IE land. But there’s more to it than that. You see, there’s one additional feature that cuts straight to Google’s bread and butter…. Search!
So let’s say you’re looking for something that is on Wikipedia, then why go to google to get to wikipedia? If it’s Amazon, why go to google to get to it? If it’s on Ebay.. etc. So the trick here is to query these online services upfront for your question, instead of giving an extra hit to google, and possibly an advertising opportunity or ranking which depends on google’s own algorithm (which may or may not be favoring company X)
Anyway, the browser market is already too cluttered, and the new browser is likely to take from Safari’s non existent PC market, a bit from Opera, A bit from Firefox and a bunch from IE, in the end. It will join the rest in the cut throat battle, with google emerging as the most severe threat to IE since .. Firefox. But at the same time, it might be the last nail in the coffin of Firefox. Which is a shame really … But chances are, first adopters of Chrome are the same people who made the leap from IE to Firefox

I always thought that people who don’t have technical background use the IE cause they didn’t know about Firefox and so on, when I used to mention Firefox to some people they just don’t understand what the hell I’m talking about, so I thought Firefox users are people with technical background, but recently I started to see different people with no technical background using Firefox cause they realized that there are better options.
