• Attend and minute the monthly Promotion make-list meetings, update and send to all concerned departments
• Compile the promotion transmission forms and request transmission promo TX tapes from library- according to both the facility roster and the make-list and hands them to the relevant Producer
• Compare information in Perspective with the channel schedules, the make-list and the promo production form: TX dates, duration, segments, etc.
• Insert all relevant promo data information in the Network’s Content Management System (Perspective)- including scheduling instructions and frequency
• To follow up library TX hand-over and to indicate to the promo production teams any promos that are needed for transmission
• Maintain a promo filing system to include the production forms, scripts and VHS tapes
• Coordinate with Ad sales regarding TVC and sponsorship scheduling
• Supervise the Promotions list of the channels in order to:
• Delete dead promotions
• When necessary extend expiring promos (according to the Schedule and after a double check of the Senior Producer)
• Check categories/frequencies
• Kill promotions
• Organise sending/receiving promo batches between various Orbit transmission centres with clear indications of TX dates and scheduling instructions
• Update all the promo scheduling instructions data on a regular basis
• Organise incoming/outgoing feed requests when required- between Bahrain and Orbit’s regional production centres (Beirut/Cairo/Riyadh/Rome)
• Establish contacts with external production facilities- when required
Requirements
• Able to deal confidentially with staff and contacts at all levels
• Able to accurately report and log and carry out analysis and diagnosis
• Educated to degree level
• Excellent spoken and written English; spoken/written Arabic highly desirable
• At least three years experience in a managerial/supervisory role, ideally in television operation and / or post production facility
