To a poor person almost everything is a dream, most of what we take for granted, like food and shelter and education, is a privilege millions of people dream about everyday, and construction workers in Dubai are not an exception.
Those poor people abandon their home in search for an income that will help secure a better future for their children, at least better than their own. When the SmartLife Foundation, a UAE-based NGO, asked a number of workers in Dubai about their dreams, they all agreed on education as the main path for securing a better future for their children, but that might be difficult considering their low income.
The SmartLife Foundation started a fund to help the children of some of those workers get the proper education they need, and then invited the community to help. The idea revolved around the nails those workers have to hammer everyday, so the answer was inviting people to hammer some nails and contribute to this fund.
According to the organizers, 17,793 nails were hammered in 9 days, each participant was required to donate a minimum of AED10 at least, and the fund will be used to educate 20 children of those workers. Such an excellent idea, we need more of these! The ad agency behind this project is FP7 Dubai, well done guys!

The Wall was placed in JBR Walk, good location!
