Events Manager | Kuwait

- researching markets to identify opportunities for events;
- liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements;
- producing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets);
- securing and booking a suitable venue or location;
- ensuring insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to;
- planning layouts and the entertainment programme, scheduling workshops and demonstrations;
- co-ordinating staffing requirements and staff briefings;
- creating, implementing and monitoring marketing and PR plans;
- liaising with clients and designers to create a brand/look for the event;
- liaising with newspapers, TV, radio and other media;
- co-ordinating everything on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly;
- handling client queries on the day and troubleshooting exhibitor and visitor problems on the day;
- post-event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders).
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Only Kuwait resident applicants are accepted with a valid transferable visa.

Skills
1. Work requires an understanding of special events management, conference/event planning, or theater management and operations normally acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2. Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts.
3. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
4. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
5. Minimum 5 years of working experience.
