The Parrot AR.Drone 2.0 Review

Parrot is pleased to announce that users who control their Parrot AR.Drone with an AndroidTM device will now be able to enrich their experience with the AR.Drone Academy.

AndroidTM users can now access a range of unique features, exclusive content and share their experiences with almost 66,000 pilots from all over the world: geolocalization and data tracking, identification of the perfect flight ‘spots’ video storage and much more…

Data tracking: Analyze each flight
When recording an HD video or capturing a photo, various flight parameters are stored in the ‘cloud’ and are accessible at any time: altitude, speed, evolution of the battery level, GPS data…

Generated graphs can be viewed individually or displayed as an overlay on the video.
When analyzed, this data can help you improve your performance which can be compared with those of other AR.Drone Academy members.

Map: The world seen from the AR.Drone
With the AR.Drone Academy, your flights are geolocalized and displayed on a map together with those of other pilots. Just select a location and a presentation page appears: profile of the pilot, GPS flight, statistical data, direct access to the video…
If you are looking for the best places to fly, follow the “Hotspots” recommended by other members

Content sharing: Post your videos and photos in one click
Want to share the videos or photos taken when piloting the AR.Drone with your friends? A click on the Sharing tab and your accomplishments are automatically posted on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Picasa or sent via email.

Video and photos backup: Your feats in the Cloud!
In joining the AR.Drone Academy, all your videos and photos of flying taken from your AndroidTM tablet or smartphone can be saved. Even if the data was deleted from your piloting device, your best achievements are accessible anytime, anywhere, via YouTube or Picasa.
