Emirates Airlines Brings ATP Stars to the Fans Through Google+ Hangouts

27th of February, 2013 – Dubai, UAE – ATP # 1 world ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic held his first hangout with fans via Google+ on the sidelines of the Dubai Tennis Championships thanks to the Emirates Airlines.
The hangout included seven participants from around the globe who submitted questions they wanted to ask Djokovic on the Emirates Airlines’ social media pages including one sports journalist from The Times.
The tennis star revealed the person he’d like to play against the most is U2’s Bono! He told the hangout participants he finds inspiration from his dedicated and loving fans and that he aspires to visit Egypt one day. Djokovic also talked about his tips for rising tennis players, as well as the many sacrifices which he had to make during his childhood in order to become the tennis star he is today.
With more than half a million followers on their Google+ page, Emirates have quickly climbed the ranks of the most active and followed pages on the social platform in just a few months.
