The Role
This leading Furniture design and manufacturer are seeking a Healthcare Market manager who will develop interest and buying potential for the healthcare business using products in a given geographical area and to develop, involve and co-ordinate this with the Dealer resources against opportunities.
The increased awareness developed through the position increases the number of sales opportunities and the subsequent sales.
To take a lead role in major project opportunities to close business against specific sales and margin targets.
Promote the companies products and services, obtain orders on behalf of the company.
To gain an understanding of the healthcare market locally and begin to identify both opportunities in national and local sectors.
To win business against a sales and margin target for all products within the identified sectors.
Timetable and gain support in seminar activity locally.
Involve specialist sales and design resources where relevant against specific opportunities.
Provide accurate forecasting information for total volume sales by product group and detailed information on specific large projects.
Maintain good working relationships with local dealer personnel maintaining competence and commitment to products.
Provide field training for dealer sales personnel in product and positional skills.
To identify appropriate new dealers and develop these opportunities
Participate in induction training for new personnel and new product training.
To canvas business opportunities in person. Identify, qualify and develop.
The DMM is to justify and compete for marketing resources where required.
Requirements
Business Degree or professional equivalent in healthcare- nursing, pharmaceutical or life sciences
Successful sales / commercial experience of at least 4 years, preferably with some background in healthcare sales
Experience of working for a multinational organisation
Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form.
Ability to effectively interact at all levels with clinicians, purchasers, planners and regional and national decision makers for healthcare facilities
Must enjoy team work, but also be self motivated and able to work alone and be self sufficient
Must be flexible to work long hours when required and undertake considerable travel throughout the region.
Must be highly literate in the use of IT systems
Must be numerate in the preparation of quotations and forecast information.
Must be culturally aware.
Strong interpersonal skills.
