SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design artwork, concepts, animations, and other materials to service Programming, Promotions, Presentation as well as Marketing and Ad-Sales. Taking part to graphic-related video/audio post production sessions from initiation to transmission.
• Create designs for both ‘in-house’ studio set ups and external venues, for the shooting of promotional campaigns.
• Operate 3D animation equipment or video painting, caption generators, rostrum camera, and animation equipment including Quantel PB, After Effects and any other graphic related equipment.
• Give advice to users of the graphics department, so that projects can be undertaken using the right resources and as creatively and cost efficiently as possible.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as requested.

EDUCATION:
Recognized Design Qualification

LANGUAGE:
English – Spoken and written to a good standard. Arabic would be considered an advantage.

EXPERIENCE:
Extensive experience in the design of broadcast television graphic elements and sequences, using electronic tools. Set design, props, and lighting.

CHARACTERISTICS:
• Recognized design qualification(s). Perfect 20/20 color vision and hearing.
• Ability to take initial ideas through to finished project.
• Ability to work flexibly and creatively as part of a multi-cultural team in a high technology department.
• Eagerness to work in a customer service environment and to contribute to the development of the Production Services department, its staff and its methods of working.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to report both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to act on initiative, to be decisive, and to produce work on time in pressured situations with tight deadlines, without the need for close supervision.
• Ability to work long hours on a consistent basis and to work flexible hours including shift work, nights, weekends and public holidays.
