Deputy Editor in Chief for Marie Claire Magazine Arabia | Al Waseet International Beirut, Lebanon

Key Accountabilities:
Set the overall guidelines and manages editorial content.
Plan, prioritize and manage the editions within the required time limits.
Stay updated with the latest developments in publishing, identify and research and deliver proposals for new articles.
Execute and manage production of the magazine material to ensure quality standards are met and delivered on time.
Attend editorial meetings and approve ideas of articles with the editor in chief.
Define editorial deadlines with the regional team and the editor in chief.

Follow up with branches on defined deadlines and quality of articles.
Communicate with authors throughout edit phase; solicit rewrites when necessary.
Monitor the day to day work of selecting articles.
In charge of the magazine’s content and be aware of the legal consequences of the published content.

Qualifications
•University degree in Journalism
•Minimum 5 years experience with 3 years in a magazine
•Excellent managerial and organizational skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic.
